Frequently Asked Questions
An eSIM is a digital SIM that lets you activate a mobile data plan without inserting a physical SIM card. You install the eSIM by scanning a QR code or following manual activation steps on your device.
Most orders are delivered automatically within a few minutes after successful payment. In rare cases, delivery may take longer if a provider response is delayed or if an order needs manual review.
No, all plans sold on eSIMtt are data-only plans. That means they are designed for mobile internet access and usually do not include traditional voice calls or SMS unless clearly stated on the product page.
eSIMtt does not impose any restrictions on using hotspot functionality with your data eSIM. You are free to share your data via hotspot with other devices as needed.
Package validity starts when the device connects to the supported network for the first time.
Yes. After purchase, the eSIM can remain available for installation for up to 180 days. We recommend installing it before travel or shortly before use, while remembering that package validity starts only when the device first connects to the supported network.
Yes. The eSIM should be installed within 180 days after purchase. If it is not installed within that period, it may expire and become unusable.
No. The eSIM will work only on the device where it was first installed and cannot be moved to another device. If you want to use service on another device, a new purchase will normally be required.
Deleting the eSIM profile is not recommended. In some cases, the same eSIM can still be installed again on the same device if the eSIM itself is still valid, but this should not be relied on as normal use.
Most newer iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, and other flagship devices support eSIM, but compatibility varies by region and device model. It is your responsibility to confirm that your device is both carrier-unlocked and eSIM-compatible before purchase. Some eSIM adapters, such as 9eSIM, may also work, but that depends on the device and adapter support.
Common reasons include:
- Device is not eSIM-compatible
- Device is carrier-locked
- Roaming or mobile data is disabled
- Wrong line is selected for mobile data
- APN settings are missing or incorrect
- You are outside the supported coverage area
Top-up is only possible before the existing package expires. It must also match the same package type. For example, a fixed-data package should receive a fixed-data top-up, and a daily plan should receive a daily-plan top-up. If top-up is not suitable for your case, you can always purchase a new eSIM separately.
Usually no. Because eSIM products are digital and often become non-resellable after delivery or activation, refunds are limited once installation details have been issued. Please see our Refund & Return Policy for full details.
